The omakase was incredibly thoughtful and meticulously prepared. Every ingredient held a high standard of quality and integral dimension of flavor. Not only were each crafted dish impressive, the staff created a seamless dining experience. Our chef, Tai, made our special occasion all the more memorable. You will not regret having a meal with the members at Robin!
American style omakase. It shows that pistachios go well with nigiris and caviar can be eaten together with potato chips & sushi. The one I don’t like is the “tan-tan” noodle with truffle, did not taste any truffle flavor in that dish. Wagyu/tuna tartare is too oily as well.
Amazing creative omakase. We ended up doing the sake omakase too and honestly, it's a ton of sake for $75 each. Food omakase was $210 ish each and so worth it. The flavors were really fun and highly recommend sitting at the counter if you fancy some interesting stories and conversations with the chefs. Each dish was beautiful and truly felt like eating art.
Finished out the the most amazing coconut milk foam with cacao chips and plum wine. Now almost a week ago and I'm salivating thinking about it.
Our main takeaway was the experience wasn’t luxurious enough for the price you pay. You pick between $109 and $209 where each tier goes up $10. We went with the $209 option and still came out kinda hungry. We don’t want to imagine what it’s like with the $109 option. There was a total of 17 items including dessert. The cuts of fish are very small. Quality alone doesn’t make up for it. The scallops was a little disappointing because they were overpowered by the rest of the plate. We were expecting more flavors from the truffles and foie gras, but it wasn’t really noticeable. The omakase didn’t come with wasabi or ginger either. Ginger seems essential especially as a palate cleanser. The foie gras over wagyu would be a better experience if they shave it in front of you. You should lick it all up to scrape back what you can! I think omakase should be more than just having food served + having it explained. Overall, this really should be a 3.5 but Google doesn’t allow that.
There’s a 5% SF health mandate. I’m not against workers having insurance but it shouldn’t be on the customers.
Cool omakase experience where you choose a price point and then the food just arrives! The sesame noodles were so good.
Was very excited to try this place but was a bit disappointed. It’s an omakase menu but you don’t have any idea what you’re getting and you’re not sitting at a sushi bar where you’re communicating with the chef. We spent $400+ for 2. Glad I tried it would not go back.
Amazing, fantastic, wonder meal all around. Got tasting menu. Chose our price. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and food outstanding
Every course is amazing. Everything is of quality, super fresh, and delicious. The staff help customize your experience and do a great job of presenting the dish. They also have the best rap playlist of any restaurant I’ve gone too.
